Piotrkow Tribunalski, Poland

"The Nazis came in banging on the doors. You got ten minutes to pack up whatever you need, and you have to think very quickly. What would you take?

And in those cattle cars, 80 to 100 people shoved in. Nothing to eat, nothing to drink and no toilet.

My mother and brothers were sent to Treblinka together with Rabbi Lau and 2000 other people. My mother and my siblings were gassed in Treblinka.

When I think of the hostages today in Gaza, I can't help but comparing that. I'm told that they get some rice and a half a pizza. How can a grown man or woman survive on that? So when I think about what we got in Bergen-Belsen, how could people survive on that? And I know they didn't. People just kept on dying every single day."
